Challenges
As Amazon continues to innovate on behalf of recruiters, candidates, and hiring managers, we need to focus on creating mechanisms that help recruiters enable and thrive through this constant change. Over the next three years, the Recruiter of the Future strategy aims to ensure we provide our recruiters with the necessary resources to excel in a world where changes and improvements in technology, the talent market, employee priorities, and Amazon's priorities continue to occur.
As part of this strategy, Recruiter of the Future aims to evolve and develop the recruiter role into business partners, called “Talent Advisors”, by understanding how to leverage talent intelligence, market trends, and gleam insights from the businesses they support while maintaining the bedrock of recruiting principles. We will utilize and connect the Recruiter of the Future strategy to enable the pilot launch of this Talent Advisor training program, Recruiter/RM RotF Skills Matrices, the Talent Marketplace product (coming soon!), and investigate changes to recruiter role guidelines to enable us to become a world class recruiting organization for recruiters, with the goal of ultimately improving delivery metrics (e.g. cost per hire, hiring decision effectiveness) and candidate/hiring manager experience.
Solutions
Created a PowerPoint template to storyboard for the Stakeholders. I worked closely with Recruiting Manager SMEs to ensure that the course provided the necessary guidance for RMs to assist their recruiters throughout the Talent Advisor certification process.
Results
This storyboard allowed for the development of a full 30 minute course. Since launch Talent Advisor completion rates have increased by 60% MoM.
